As a holiday gift to our awesome fans we wrote and recorded a song called “Christmas Is Blue without You”. Merry Christmas!

This weekend we played the final show of our short state fair tour with Big Time Rush. The run ended Saturday night at the Minnesota State Fair with a thrilling crowd of 11,000 people. Photographs from the trip are posted below. Enjoy.

Minnesota bound. The timing of this show was perfect. We left town the day before Hurricane Irene hit Virginia. Sayonara, ya old hag!

The Minnesota State Fair was packed with people and crazy foods. Some vendors were even selling fried sticks of butter and bacon ice cream. We spent the afternoon with Jeremiah and Micah’s relatives the Jarmans. They witnessed our first live performance ever in 2004. Seeing them again was really rad.

This shot looks like a scene straight out of a sci-fi film. We stumbled across a live animal operation in one of the fair’s buildings. People were sitting in lawn chairs and eating popcorn while they watched.

Micah at soundcheck. Thank God for great sound guys. They make our job easy.

The Minnesota crowd. Thanks to everyone who cheered us along and said hello after the show. Mark your calendars. We’re returning in October!

A hundred feet away from the fireworks show.

The morning after. I should really start drinking coffee.

We stopped in Illinois yesterday for a back to school party. I always enjoy playing events like these. The highlight of the night was playing “Blindfold” blindfolded. Thanks for having us, girls.
Well, that’s all for now! Don’t forget to follow us on facebook.com/daysdifference for music and tour updates. Great announcements are coming soon.
Sincerely,
Jeremy William Smith

Sharing the stage with Big Time Rush this week was a real pleasure. The fans, the crew and the people working the fairs were incredibly kind, and Big Time Rush went out of their way to make us feel at home. They’re the most down to earth group of guys we’ve ever met on tour. Major thanks for the opportunity and hospitality, bros!

Erie County Fair - Wednesday
The first show took place 15 minutes outside Buffalo, New York at the Erie County Fair. Playing to a roaring crowd of 8,000 people was a thrilling way to return to the stage. The band sounded tight, and Jeremiah really made his guitar sing. Thanks for being so rad to a band you’d just met, New York. We’ll be back again soon to meet all of you.

“Some” of the New York crowd.

Hands up!
Indianapolis State Fair - Thursday
Big Time Rush can really draw a crowd. 16,000 people showed up to the Indianapolis State Fair show the next day. This was our second year in a row to play this stage, and this year’s crowd was just as exciting. We saw a lot of familiar faces. Thanks for the love, Indy!

Ominous rain clouds. This storm passed. Thank God.

Blue skies at sound check.

A panoramic view of the stadium. Is this even real?

Smile! You’re on Micah’s camera.

The ending to our very short lived meet and greet.

Kyle the Great rigging our broken window. I went to open the van door window at the end of the night, and the entire thing shattered in my face.
Peru, Illinois Concert for a Cause - Saturday
Don’t be jealous, Indy and Buffalo, but Peru outdid both of you! The crowd was so loud we could barely hear ourselves on stage. What a great way to end the week. We were even able to do a full on meet and greet. Thanks to everyone who waited patiently at the end of the night. it was pleasure meeting all of you.

The hanger beside the stage. We won all three of those aircraft in a crazy game of poker.

Love at first sight with the wild Peru crowd.
Well, that’s all for now! Major thanks to our fans for supporting and encouraging us this week and to everyone who came to see Big Time Rush that gave us a chance and listened to our songs. We appreciate all of you. It’s an honor to create and play music for you.
Sincerely,
Jeremy William Smith

New Year’s resolutions can be a bit cliché, but the start of a new year is the perfect time to reflect on life. Ponder for a moment then post one of your resolutions in a comment below. One of mine is to stop throwing the van keys into the trash absentmindedly. This is the second time today. DOH! - Jeremy
