Hey everybody,

I’m in the middle of a 20 hour van ride to Colorado for our Denver show with Jordin Sparks. Since I can’t practice piano or write songs today I thought I’d write a blog for you.

What is your favorite part of touring?

I hear this question a lot, and my answer is simple. The fans we meet every night and the bands we spend time with each week are my favorite part of touring.

Jordin Sparks, her band and her crew have made the Battlefield tour a real joy for us. I have never met such a neat group of people. Jordin is so much fun and a real prankster. Her weapon of choice is silly string. I think she’s under the impression we won’t retaliate. Beware, fair lady. We’re waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

Ashlyne Huff and her band have been a major blessing to us. We’ve had fun spending time with them backstage. If you saw us perform in Nevada, San Diego or Los Angeles please thank Ashlyne and company.  When our van and trailer broke down they shared their instruments with us. Thank you, Ashlyne!

One of the neatest things about this tour has been all the fans we have met and spent time with. Thank you to everyone who has seen us on this tour and said hello after the show. Your cheering and cat calls make our performances memorable, and your gifts, compliments and enthusiasm make us smile.

One last thing: we recorded a live performance and interview for cambio.com at the Grove in Los Angeles last week. The folks at cambio are top notch. Check out their website. It’s like MTV but classy. Be on the lookout for our featured show.
